Polaris Vac-Sweep 280 Pressure Side Pool Cleaner Review

Pros, Cons, and Verdict

Polaris Vac-Sweep 280

Side Pool Cleaner

Polaris

Pressure Side Pool Cleaner

cleaner for all in-ground pools and easily connects

Pros
  • Pressure side pool cleaner
  • Works in all in-ground pools
  • Includes 31-feet of feed hose
  • Ready to connect easy installation
Cons
  • Booster Pump Sold Separately

The Polaris Vac-Sweep 280 is affordable and powerful as far as pool cleaners go. It features a powerful twinjet engine which allows the cleaner to finish cleaning your pool after about 4 to 6 hours.

It is easy to grip the machine with the handles that come attached to it. The included feed hose is 31 feet long, which only makes it easier to use the cleaner. The entire unit is lightweight, allowing it to clean the floor, stairs, and walls of your swimming pool. Although, some people find that it is more difficult for this cleaner to clean the stairs.

The Polaris Vac-Sweep 280 depends on a reverse back-up valve system to sustain its long lifespan. To prevent large debris and pebbles from getting into the cleaner, it has a special filter which offers extra protection against these outside threats. If you have vinyl, fiberglass, or other types of inground pool surfaces, you can use the cleaner for them too. The cleaning job it performs is superb, but it might be a good idea to purchase a rear-sweet tail accessory because it can help clean the edges and corners better.

Overall

The Polaris Vac-Sweep 280 has a very strong engine, great filter, and a unique design. It is priced fairly well for the cleaning job that it performs. But there are no advanced features, though. If that’s okay, then try out this cleaner and see how well it works for your needs.
